PM and Chairman of NA of Nagorno Karabakh fulfill their civic dut

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of Artsakh Republic, Arayik Harutyunyan, fulfilled his civic duty by participating in the local self-government voting of the capital city. As “Armenpress” was informed from the official Government Facebook page, Arayik Harutyunyan considered these elections a step forward in state-building, expressing conviction that more developed local self-government bodies will be formed in Artsakh.

Chairman of Nagorno Karabakh National Assembly, Ashot Ghoulian, arrived at the polling station with his wife at 9:30. “Armenpress” informs that in an interview with journalists Ashot Ghoulian mentioned that regardless of their position or social status, citizens cannot stay indifferent to the development of NKR communities where local self-government bodies have vital importance.

Referring to the enthusiasm of the candidates and citizens towards the local elections, Ghoulian noted that the citizens realize their important contribution to the development of the communities by establishing governmental bodies through elections.

On September 13, local elections are held in 207 communities of Artsakh Republic. 94.377 citizens are eligible to vote. 235 candidates for community leader and 1228 candidates for community council member put forward their candidacy.
