3 thousand Syrian refugees expected in Armenia

Kate Pochapsky, head of the legal section of UNHCR, said the aforementioned in his talk with journalists.

“Armenpress” reports that the UN representative said the refugees usually prefer the countries where living conditions are more favorable. In this context it is essential that they may have historical links with some of the countries.“According to our estimations, a flow of 3000 Syrians into Armenia is expected. But it will not be all at once, it will be gradually. The organization performs preparatory activities in this regard.”, noted Kate Pochapsky.
