Government session is over

YEREVAN, AUGUST 31, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, chaired the August 31 session of the Government.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the Information and Public Relations Department of the Staff of the Government, opening the session, the PM addressed the attendees, “National Statistical Service published the indexes of the economic growth of the first half of the year. According to the data, we had 2.5% GPA growth during the first three months and 5.1% economic growth during the second three months. As a result we have recorded about 4% economic growth for the first half of the year. Under the condition of significant reduction of remittances from abroad, the growth in the sector of agriculture is of particular importance, which significantly alleviates the decrease of purchasing power of our citizens caused by external factors”. The Prime Minister assigned all relevant bodies of economy to introduce the public the economic results of the half year in detail.
