Azerbaijani Armed Forces junior officer dies

YEREVAN, AUGUST 14, ARMENPRESS. İbrahim ismailoğlu Osmanov, Azerbaijani junior officer of Azerbaijani Ministry Defense military unit which is located on northeastern border of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, who had been injured 3 days earlier, died at a military hospital. Armenpress reports the abovesaid, referring to Azerbaijani media citing Azerbaijan Defense Ministry sources.

According to the information, İbrahim Osmanov, who had been called out for service from Qakh District had gunshot wounds in the chest area.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan made no comments on the aforementioned. The Ministry had not informed about the injury of the junior officer.

Though Azerbaijan goes on with its policy concealing injury and emergency cases in its armed forces, according to the information acquired by the sources of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and Karabakh Defense Army, at least 92 soldiers of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have died and more than 31 have been injured since the beginning of the year.
