Macron highlights early signing of Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty in talks with Erdogan

YEREVAN, JULY 12, ARMENPRESS. During a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on July 11 at the NATO summit in Washington, French President Emmanuel Macron stressed the need for a early signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, according to the statement from the official website of the French President.

Addressing this issue, Emmanuel Macron, in particular, reaffirmed his support for the ongoing dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan with the aim of concluding a peace treaty as soon as possible. He noted that this could open a new page in the region.

The French President also confirmed his country's readiness to develop a positive bilateral agenda with Turkey.
