Proposal of marriage to Armenian girl on top of Ararat

YEREVAN, AUGUST 7, ARMENPRESS. Proposal of marriage was made to an Armenian girl on the top of Mount Ararat. “Armenpress” reports that Aaron Cummings, a member of the group climbing Mount Ararat, made a marriage proposal to his Armenian girlfriend Berdjuhi Kazhoian.

“Every step of climbing Ararat was very exciting, especially on the top, where the lack of oxygen made extra difficulties. Reaching the top we all hugged and were very excited. My friend gave his phone to my girlfriend and asked to make photos. At that moment my friend started to say a stirring speech but I no longer heard the words. Then he kneeled on top of Ararat”, Berdjuhi Kazhoian said in an interview with “Armenpress”.

Women rights defender Berdjuhi added that like any Armenian she dreamed of climbing to the top of Ararat. The couple started trainings since March of the current year climbing different mountains. Finally, on August 2 they started climbing Ararat and reached the top on August 5.
