NASA publishes a photo of ISS flying over face of moon

YEREVAN, AUGUST 3, ARMENPRESS. NASA published a photo of the International Space Station flying over the face of the full moon on August 2. Armenpress reports that the image of the International Space Station is visible close to the center of the photo.

Currently a crew of 6 works at the International Space Station. The latter are Gennady Padalka, Mikhail Kornienko and Oleg Kononenko, NASA astronauts Scott Joseph Kelly and Kjell Lindgren, and the Japanese Kimiya Yui.

The International Space Station (ISS) is a space station, or a habitable artificial satellite, in low Earth orbit. Its first component launched into orbit in 1998, and the ISS is now the largest artificial body in orbit and can often be seen with the naked eye from Earth.

The ISS serves as a microgravity and space environment research laboratory in which crew members conduct experiments in biology, human biology, physics, astronomy, meteorology and other fields.
