In the last 3 years, 10 thousand people from Turkey have left for Syria and Iraq to join the jihadist groups. 7 thousand of these people have already joined the terrorist group – IS (Islamic State). Armenpress informs the last-mentioned citingAbdülkadir Selvi - the Ankara representative of “Yeni Şafak”daily newspaper.
The “Yeni Şafak”journalist expressed his surprise that his compatriot theologians, historians and sociologists have not yet gathered to discuss the nature of IS and the damages it causes to Islam.
