Hrayr Tovmasyan explains who will be included in Electoral College to elect Armenia's President

YEREVAN, JULY 17, ARMENPRESS. The draft law on Constitutional reforms stipulates that the President of the Republic of Armenia will be elected by the Electoral College. Hrayr Tovmasyan - member of the Specialized Commission on Constitutional Reforms - said that the specialized commission made such a decision so that the president has a higher level of legitimacy.

As Armenpress informs, according to the draft law, the President of the Republic of Armenia is elected by Electoral College. As for the members of the Electoral College, it will be comprised of MP-s of the National Assembly and representatives from the local self-government bodies.
