Australian-Armenians to donate 50 000 dollars to Syrian-Armenians

SYDNEY, JULY2, ARMENPRESS. 50 thousand dollars has been collected from the fund-raising event organized in Australia to support Syrian-Armenians. As Armenpress reports citing “Armenia Online,” the fund-raising was organized on June 22. During the first week, 26 thousand Australian dollars was collected, while that sum reached 40 thousand during the final concert. It was of interest that only 120 Armenian spectators were present at the concert. 10 thousand dollars was added by Armenian businessmen. The collected money will be donated to support Syrian-Armenians, particularly Aleppo-Armenians. The fund-raising was organized by “Dro” Committee of Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), Armenian Relief Society, Homenetmen, Armenian National Committee of Australia, and Australia’s ARF Youth Union.
