Humanitarian and cultural ties are important factors bridging Armenian and Austrian peoples

YEREVAN, JUNE 26, ARMENPRESS: The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan hosted on June 26 Reinhold Lopatka, the deputy of the National Council of Austria, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the People’s Party of the Republic of Austria. The press service of the Armenian President’s Office informed Armenpress that Serzh Sargsyan greeted the guest and highlighted his visit to Armenia from the point of view of the strengthening of the Armenian-Austrian traditional friendly ties, as well as fostering the interparliamentary cooperation.

The President stressed that with the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, Austria made a considerable contribution in the prevention of genocides and crimes against the humanity.

The interlocutors were of the same opinion that the humanitarian and cultural ties are important factors bridging the Armenian and Austrian peoples, which greatly foster the strengthening of the high-level Armenian-Austrian relations and development of the trade and economic cooperation.
