James Warlick comments on Azerbaijan's proposal to expand OSCE Minsk Group format

YEREVAN, JUNE 10, ARMENPRESS. The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs are not disposed to change the format of the chairmanship and will continue working in the current format. As reports “Armenpress”, asked about Azerbaijan’s proposal to expand the OSCE Minsk Group format, the U.S Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick stated: “We’ll continue working within the format of the Minsk Group, as this is the format, which is acceptable for the sides now.”

Among other things, James Warlick noted that the matter is not about the format of negotiations; this is a conflict, the decisions about which must be made by the Presidents and peoples of the two countries.

“When they decide that it’s time for peace and negotiated settlement, we’ll be ready to mediate and contribute to that settlement,” the U.S Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group underscored.
