Event held in UAE devoted to 70th anniversary of Victory

YEREVAN, 12 MAY, ARMENPRESS. On 9 May, an event dedicated to the of 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War Victory took place in "Madinat Arena" hotel of Dubai. As "Armenpress" was informed by the Media, Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the event was attended by the representatives of the embassies of Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, representatives of UAE authorities, diplomats, representatives of the community organizations, journalists and numerous guests. As honorable guests Ara Petrosyan and Sargis Bazhbeuk Melikyan (from Armenia) and renowned opera singer Lyubov Kazarnovskayan (from Russia) had performance.

Stands were placed In the hotel lobby reflecting the contribution of the former USSR of the Great Patriotic War, from which the Armenian stand included informational subjects about the Armenian commanders and soldiers of the Great Patriotic War.

At the beginning of the event, the ambassadors of the participant countries delivered speech, representing the contribution of their country to the victory of the Great Patriotic War. The Ambassador of Armenia to UAE Gegham Gharibjanyan underscored that the month of April is a month of memory and pain, which is followed by the victories of May.
