YEREVAN, 23 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. President of the Republic of Armenia, chairman of the State Commission on Coordination of the events for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide Serzh Sargsyan attended today the Canonization of the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. During the Canonization, the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide were declared as the saints of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church, based on the tradition of the Armenian Church, the decision taken by the Episcopal Conference and by the blessing of the Catholicos of All Armenians and the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, as the Public Relations and Mass Media Department of the Structure to the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”.
