YEREVAN, 20 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The claim of the Armenian side is the right decision in the issue of the Armenian Genocide, because Armenia should not wait for the willingness of manifestation of Turkey's apology. "Even if Turkey repents, then the apology must become credible and convincing. Its best condition is the willingness of assuming the compensation for what happened. Demand is of a certain importance.” In a talk with “Armenpress”, the Director of Institute for Diaspora and Genocide Studies Mihran Dabag said that the accentuation of the demand is very important and the process of the activities will show what kind of definition and formation will get the demanding.
He underscores, that there are many different directions to make reality the idea of demand.
"First of all a discussion about the idea of demand should be started. Turkey’s willingness is very important in that issue to take the responsibility, and because at this time Turkey is not ready to take the responsibility, it will be very difficult to present and implement the requirements. In my opinion, the demand should not be built on some specific requirements, but perceive the process, as a result of which it will be determined the relationship between two people. The demand is the endangered identity of Armenia, Armenian people and the memory of the Armenian Diaspora and it should represent its message and future. The demanding should be the basis of that mindset”.
