Caving tourism in Armenia. Unused great potential

YEREVAN, 17 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. After the visit of Kardashian family and ahead of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide Events, the international periodicals, consecutively, represent the various sights of Armenia in their publications, as result of which it is expected a flow of tourists. But it is no secret that, in addition to the Garni and Noravank, we have a lot more which interest not only to the classic tourism, but also for extreme sports lovers.

The latters not only can attract by its mountains and cliffs, but also a large number of caves, most of which remains unknown even to the Armenians for many years. One of 12 most famous caves of Armenia, Bears caves, it is so desirable for the extreme sports lovers, that they are ready to violate the law and try penetrate ignoring the fact, it has been six years that the cave entrance is closed for security reasons. The Director of SNCO of "Historical preservation museums and historic environment service" Vladimir Poghosyan stressed this in a talk with “Armenpress”.
