European Parliament discussing Armenian Genocide Resolution draft: LIVE

YEREVAN, 15 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The European Parliament began to discuss the draft of the Armenian Genocide Resolution just minutes ago. According to “Armenpress”, the Resolution will propose to and will assign the national parliaments and governments of EU member states to adopt relevant resolutions and adopt decisions on recognizing and condemning the Armenian Genocide.

Vice-President of the European Parliament Urlike Lunacek underscored the importance of the adoption of this resolution on the Armenian Genocide. In an interview to the Turkish Dogan agency, another Vice-President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani touched upon the April 15 discussion and mentioned: “Nobody will benefit from denial of the Armenian Genocide.” According to him, the resolution being discussed is a message to the world to make sure “genocides never happen again”.
