Armenian historian views demand as way of struggling after Pope's liturgy

YEREVAN, APRIL 15, ARMENPRESS: After the liturgy, served by the Pope Francis of Rome on April 12 at the St Peter’s Basilica of Vatican, the process of recognition of the Armenian Genocide can be considered complete. This opinion belongs to the Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia Ashot Melkonyan.

“For many years Turkey tries to lead us by the Armenian Genocide recognition way, keeping us far from raising the issue of compensation. Now we should follow that every country includes the idea of national dispossession in the Armenian Genocide recognizing resolutions, as the indication of the genocide site is missing in the resolutions of many countries, which is quite important in the context of our further actions”, - told Melkonyan, Armenpress reports.
