Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople to celebrate Holy Liturgy in Holy Mary Church on April 24

YEREVAN, 15 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople will celebrate Holy Liturgy in St. Virgin Armenian Church on April 24, the day of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. As reports “Armenpress”, “Agos” perdiodical stated this. The Armenian Genocide victims will be remembered as “Saints” during the Divine Liturgy, which will be held at 9:30 am by Turkey time (The Armenian Apostolic Church in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin will held a canonization ceremony on April 23). The news also is presented by the Turkish media, adding that the Patriarchal vicar of Constantinople, His Grace Archbishop Aram Ateshian, who will celebrate Holy Liturgy, will not sound the word "genocide", instead, he will commemorate about the joint pain.

The Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople will not participate in the pan-Armenian 100 bells action, which be held on April 23 at 19:15 pm, when the bells will ring in the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
