Cross-stone dedicated to memory of Armenian Genocide was consecrated in Batumi

YEREVAN, 14 APRIL, ARMENPRES.S. On April 12, cross-stoneconsecration ceremony was held at the Holy Savior Church of Batumi. The cross-stone was donated by the Mayor of Vanadzor Samvel Darpinyan and was dedicated to the Armenian Genocide victims and as well to the friendship of the Armenian and Georgian people. The event was organized by the Consulate General of Armenia to Batumi.

The Department of Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress”, that the Blessing ceremony conducted by the Primate of the Georgian Diocese His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan and Spiritual Pastor of Armenians of Adjara Priest Ararat Darbinyan. The Mayors of Vanadzor and Batumi Samvel Darbinyan and Giorgi Yermakov, the Ambassador of Armenia to Georgia Yuri Vardanyan and the Consul General of Armenia to Batumi Aram Grigoryan.
