Armenian Genocide exhibition opens in Los Angeles

YEREVAN, 11 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. An exhibition called “The Armenian Genocide on the Front Pages of Foreign Newspapers” opened in Los Angeles on April 8. As the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute reports to “Armenpress”, more than 500 guests participated in the opening ceremony of the long-anticipated three-day exhibition at Scirbol Cultural Center of Los Angeles. The exhibition showcases photos, sketches and illustrations providing coverage of the Armenian Genocide on the front pages of foreign presses.

Among the participants were government officials, community leaders, as well as scholars and experts. Among the guests of honor was U.S. Congressman Brad Sherman, and the keynote speaker was Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan.Primate of the U.S. Western Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Father, Archbishop Hovnan Derderianhonored the exhibition with his presence and expressed his gratitude to the Knights of AGBU for organizing the event wonderfully and stressed the importance of Hayk Demoyan’s efforts.
