Secretary of the faction of the Prosperous Armenia Party of the Natoinal Assembly Vahe Enfiajyan considers the adoption by the Parliament of Cyprus of the draft law criminalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide a great diplomatic victory. As “Armenpress” reports, the Deputy posted a comment on his Facebook page in which he emphasized that the adoption by the Parliament of Cyprus of the draft law criminalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide highlights the centuries-old relations and friendship between the two countries and nations.

“The Parliament of the Republic of Cyprus adopted the draft law criminalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide. This was a great and important diplomatic victory ahead of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. What’s especially outstanding is that the draft law was adopted unanimously. I welcome Cyprus’s just and impartial decision. This act by Cyprus underscores the centuries-old relations and friendship between the two countries and our nations. I believe this is a significant factor for the development of relations between the two countries and will help further strengthen and develop cooperation at different levels,” the Deputy wrote.
