Syrian Central Body for Armenian Genocide Centennial sends letter to Bashar al-Assad

YEREVAN, MARCH 23, ARMENPRESS. The Syrian Central Body for Armenian Genocide Centennial held consecutive sessions in the Surenyan Hall of Aleppo’s Holy Mary Church at the course of the last days. As reports “Armenpress” citing the official page of the Syrian Central Body for Armenian Genocide Centennial, at the course of the sessions the participants held detailed discussions on the Syrian parliament’s resolution, after which they sent letters to the President of Syria Bashar al-Assad and Syria’s Parliament.

Responding the statement on the condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and support and respect to the Armenian people voiced in the Syrian Parliament on the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Syrian Central Body for Armenian Genocide Centennial sent letters to the Syrian President and the Parliament expressing gratitude to the Syrian homeland and people for such a stance, particularly highlighting and expecting that Syria will make efforts in the process of internationalization and recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
