Renowned soloists to attend Genocide centenary concert

YEREVAN, 20 MARCH, ARMENPRESS: On April 26 a concert will be held dedicated to the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Belgian capital of Brussels. Three prominent soloists, violinist Maxim Vengerov, cellist Mischa Maisky and trumpeter Sergei Nakariakov with National Orchestra, will pay their tribute to the memory of innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.The concert will be conducted by prominent conductor George Pehlivanian.
Sona Hovhannisyan, the Director of "Yerevan Perspectives" International Music Festival informed Armenpress about this.
The program includes works of A. Khachatryan, Al. Harutyunyan, P. In. Tchaikovsky and other famous composers. It is noteworthy that the premiere of new work of the young composer Alexander Iravyan will be held during the concert. It is specially written for this concert and devoted to 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide. The work is called «DNA15-15».
