YEREVAN, 6 FEBRUARY, ARMENPRESS. The preliminary investigation into the murder of the seven members of the Avetisyan family that took place in Gyumri on 12 January 2015 continues.
As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, necessary measures are being taken to verify the hypotheses that have been set forth. Taking into consideration the society’s interest, we inform that the investigation to verify the possible hypothesis that Valery Permyakov had relations with the members of the Avetisyan family in the Russian Federation has shown that two of the members of the Avetisyan family, Hasmik and Aida Avetisyan, as well as Araksya Poghosyan had not been outside of the borders of Armenia from 2005 until the day of the murder. Seryozha and Armen Avetisyan had traveled to the Russian Federation (Moscow, Krasnodar, Anapa, Sochi and Rostov) from time to time. Investigative and operative activities to verify the hypothesis continue.
As for the rumors that Valery Permyakov is oligophrenic, we declare that the body carrying out the proceedings is not aware of such data and that there is no such information in the criminal case.
