Artak Zakaryan: “Armenian Genocide recognition should become an issue for the UN and all mankind”

The provisions stated in the Pan-Armenian Declaration prepare legal ground for future dialogue between countries of the world since, according to the provisions different countries may politically recognize the Armenian Genocide. This is what member of the faction of the Republican Party of Armenia in the National Assembly, Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly Artak Zakaryan said during a February 5 press conference.“This Declaration is the expression of a collective position, the legal and political formulations of which are targeted at international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and are aimed at prohibiting the repetition of such crimes,”he said, adding that recognition of the Armenian Genocide should become an issue for the United Nations and all mankind, as “Armenpress” reports.
“The Pan-Armenian Declaration serves as the basis for the just struggle of the Armenian people, and the struggle for recognition of the Armenian Genocide must never be limited to the 100thanniversary,”he assured.
