YEREVAN, 22 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. Investigation into the case instigated in relation to the murder of the Avetisyans in Gyumri on 12 January 2015 continues as part of the proceedings of the General Investigative Department of for Examination of Specially Important Cases of the investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, taking into consideration the great reactions that the criminal case sparked among society and attaching importance to the society’s right to receive information, we inform that Armenian investigators have taken from Valery Permyakov, who is charged with killing the members of the Avetisyan family, experimental samples in order to designate expert examinations of traces found at the scene of the crime, comparison with the taken experimental samples, including forensic-biological, genetic and criminological expert examinations. Permyakov’s interrogation was held with a lawyer and a translator, and the interrogation was, in the manner prescribed by law, videotaped.
