Armenia to have liaison officer at Europol for fast and secure exchange of information

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. The government has adopted a decision on the "Agreement on Cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation," which enables the establishment of an Armenian liaison officer at the Embassy of Armenia in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this decision will facilitate direct contact with Europol and its liaison officers from EU member states through a communication representative (liaison officer) at Europol.

The new cooperation format with Europol is expected to enhance the fight against transnational crime, particularly in areas such as drug trafficking, smuggling, cybercrime, asset recovery, money laundering, human trafficking, and more.
