Armenian and Russian Investigative Committees to create coordinating body for Gyumri case

YEREVAN, 20 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. After their discussions, the Chairmen of the Investigative Committees of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation reached an agreement on working together within the frames of the investigation into the murder of the 7 members of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri on 12 January in order to ensure the multilateralism of the investigation and full revelation. As “Armenpress” was informed from the Facebook page of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, during the meeting, Aghvan Hovsepyan and Alexander Bastrykin attached importance to obtaining proper evidence within the frames of the criminal case that has been instigated, strictly following the terms and conditions prescribed by law. To organize the activities more efficiently, an agreement was reached to create a coordinating body. More detailed information about the results of the meeting of the Chairmen of the Investigative Committees of both countries will be provided later.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin arrived in Yerevan yesterday at the invitation of Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia Aghvan Hovsepyan.
