Child injured in Gyumri, saved by a miracle

YEREVAN, 12 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. Seryozha Avetisyan, who is a couple of months old and the only survivor of the six members of the family that was killed in Gyumri, underwent a successful surgery and is currently breathing through artificial respiration at the reanimation department, but doctors say his condition is stable, but heavy. In an interview with “Armenpress”, director of the Austrian Children’s Hospital of Gyumri Ashot Kurghinyan reported that the child was brought in an extremely heavy condition and with a wound in his chest area.“The reason why the child was in an extremely bad condition was because he was bleeding when he was brought to the hospital. The child was found on his mother’s body. The criminal probably thought the child was dead, but the child was breathing. The child was cold, in shock and was bleeding when he was taken to the hospital,”Kurghinyan said, adding that the fact that the surgery was a success and that the child is breathing is already a miracle.

“Yes, it’s safe to say that the child has been saved by a miracle, but his condition is still stable, but heavy. He’s in shock and is breathing through an artificial respiration machine at the reanimation department. We hope he’ll be strong and will be able to overcome the difficulty,” Kurghinyan said.
