President visits exhibition devoted to Sergei Rachmaninoff and Feodor Chaliapin

YEREVAN, 21 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan met today with the directors of several museums of Russia and Armenia, who are participating in the November 21-23 Russian-Armenian forum devoted to “Museums of Russia and Armenia: Dialogue of Cultures” at the Home-Museum of Aram Khachaturian. Among other participants of the meeting were Russian and Armenian officials responsible for the two countries’ cultural policies and the guests invited to the “Two Giants: Sergei Rachmaninoff and Feodor Chaliapin-Look from the 21st Century” exhibition that was opened in the frames of the forum.

As the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the President of the Republic of Armenia reports to “ArmenPress”, Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the forum and wished success. The forum is aimed at identifying the role and significance of museums in the preservation of cultural heritage, discussing the current challenges and achievements, as well as indicating the opportunities and perspectives for the development of partnership and the exchange of experiences. Serzh Sargsyan attached importance to turning this format of cooperation into a regular format and learning about the participants’ programs and proposals to achieve the goals of the forum.
