EOC and IOC want to ensure participation of Armenia’s delegation in European Olympic Games in Baku

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS: President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received today President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach and the delegation headed by him, who are in Armenia on a working visit. Presidentof theEuropean Olympic Committee (EOC)PatrickHickey and other EOC officials were among the delegation members.

Welcoming the guests, Serzh Sargsyan expressed confidence that IOC President’s visit to Armenia will promote development of the sport in Armenia, President’s press service told Armenpress.

The EOC President presented the preliminary works of the Olympic Games to be held next year as well as referred to the negotiations held with the hosting country to conduct the games in a tolerant atmosphere and at an appropriate level. Thomas Bach assured that both IOC and EOC will do everything possible to satisfy Armenia, Armenian athletes and coaches with the negotiations’ results.
