CSTO partners’ response can restrain adventurous aspirations of Azerbaijani leadership: Armenian President

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS: The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan hosted theSecretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Nikolay Bordyuzhaon October 6. The Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Armenian President’s Office informed Armenpress that Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the visit of theSecretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, which is of targeted nature and is connected with the recent tensed situation in the borders of the CSTO member countries, including the sharp worsening of the situation on the line of contact of the Armenia-Azerbaijan and Karabakh-Azerbaijan borders in August.

Serzh Sargsyan stated that unfortunately the provocative actions of the Azerbaijani side endanger the fragile security system of the CSTO responsibility zone. Constantly violating the ceasefire regime, Azerbaijan damages the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group in the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
