Armenia grateful to Greece for criminalizing genocide denial: President

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS: Armenia is grateful to Greece for being one of the countries, which recognized the Armenian Genocide and for making quite important legal steps in criminalizing the denial of it.

Armenpress reports that the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan stated about it on September 30 at the joint press conference following the meeting with the President of Greece Karolos Papoulias, who is on a state visit to Armenia.

According to Serzh Sargsyan, several days ago the parliament of Greece adopted the amended version of the bill on “Fight against racism and xenophobia”, which is an effective factor of the fight against the denial of the Genocide’s crime.
