USA to support Armenia in the field of judicial reforms

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS: Justice Minister of Armenia Hovhannes Manukyan and US Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern signed today the amendment to the agreement on cooperation in the fields of drug control and law enforcement signed between the governments of Armenia and the USA.

Information and Public Relations Department of the Justice Ministry of Armenia told Armenpress that the agreement intends to extend 2.3 million Dollars to Armenia for implementation of a number of projects in the judicial field.

John Heffern thanked the minister for the cooperation and said that the penitentiary system of the Justice Ministry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office are the USA’s core partners in this sphere.
