Situation on border is calm, Armenia's Defense Minister assures

YEREVAN, AUGUST 15, ARMENPRESS. The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and line of contact is calm now. The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan stated this during the briefing with the journalists held at the course of his visit to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia on August 15. As reports “Armenpress”, among other things, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan highlighted: “In the result of the deterrence and punishment mechanisms implemented by the divisions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, the situation on the border is calm.”
