Lavrov Talks on Trilateral Negotiations and Armenia's entrance to CU

SOCHI, AUGUST 10, ARMENPRESS: The Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan expressed their will to continue dialogue to find peaceful solution to the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. As Armenpress reports, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told journalists, the trilateral meeting was useful. "The meeting was useful. The presidents reaffirmed their commitment to the principles set out by the co-chairs at the highest level, at the level of presidents, and these principles are the need to find a solution on the basis of peaceful approach, respecting the territorial integrity and respecting the right of peoples to self-determination" - Lavrov said. The presidents expressed their readiness to dialogue and the Russian Federation as one of the co-chairing countries will do everything to facilitate this.

Lavorv talked on Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union, and saidNagorno- Karabakh conflict will not affect it.

"Armenia is joining the Customs Union as Armenia. Nagorno-Karabakh has absolutely nothing to do with this issue, which has been repeatedly and publically announced by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan," Lavrov told journalists.
