YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS. PresidentofGeorgia-GiorgiMargvelashvili thanked Armenia for the support in energy sector on July 27.
"President Margvelashvili thanks the Ministry of Energy for the efficient work, as a result of which it became possible to cope with the force majeure situation. The President of Georgia expresses his gratitude also to the Armenian party for assistance", as reports "Armenpress", reads the statement spread by the Georgian President's administration.
On July 27, due to the electrical line failure most of the territory of Georgia, including Tbilisi, was deprived of electricity. Georgia requested to import electricity from neighboring countries and Armenia was the first to respond to that request and to provide necessary assistance. A few hours later, the electricity was restored in the country.
