YEREVAN, JUNE 30, ARMENPRESS. Turkologist Ruben Melkonyan believes that there will be a torrent of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu’s theory on "fair memory", as well as other derivative theories and statements towards the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
"Before being a politician, Davutoğlu is a theorist, moreover, quite famous, he continues his former activities, constantly bringing forward new theories, which are condemned to failure. "0 problems with neighbors", "Peace in the Caucasus", I am sure this is also one of his theories - theory on "fair memory", which has long been on the Turkish agenda and has been supported not only by the state officials, analysts, but also intellectuals acting under the guise of opposition” – reports “Armenpress”, told the turkologist to the reporters.
In his words, this is the changed version of another Turkish popular idea and opinion, that in 1915 there were bilateral victims, losses and the fair memory is that both sides should be remembered. "I think that by 2015 we may witness various forms of this viewpoint and its derivative opinions. My estimation is that this view continues to be on the non-constructive field, and that Davutoğlu undergoes a major crisis as politician and theorist, all his theories are condemned to failure” – said Ruben Melkonyan.
