Armenia’s President receives prominent musician Daniel Barenboim

YEREVAN, MAY 13, ARMENPRESS. Today, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received the famous musician, director and principal conductor of Berlin State Opera Daniel Barenboim who is in Armenia within the frames of “Yerevan Perspectives” International Music Festival on the occasion of Berlin State Orchestra concert to be held tonight.

The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the President’s Staff of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that the President of the Republic welcomed the prominent guest in our country.

Serzh Sargsyan highly appreciated the initiative of “Yerevan Perspectives” festival within the frames of which great and important thing is done for years with limited opportunities for the greatest masters of the world of music art to introduce themselves to the Armenian audience. According to the President, on the other hand, it is a good opportunity to introduce the prominent people to Armenia, to inform about the aged history and culture of the Armenian people due to which many of them become the friends of the Armenian people.
