One man shouldn't aspire to lead Armenia more than two times in his life: Armenia's President

YEREVAN, APRIL 10, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan is convinced that one man should not aspire to lead Armenia more than two times in his life. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan stated this at the course of the meeting with the members of the professional commission on constitutional reforms under the President of the Republic of Armenia.

Among other things, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, underscored: “The individuals and political powers and momentary interests are temporary, but the Constitution is for generations. And as a beginning of this way, I want to make the first step in my name in the respect of starting truly unconstrained discussions. And before starting the stage of discussions, I officially announce that I, Serzh Sargsyan, will never again introduce my candidacy for the post of the President of the Republic of Armenia. If in the result of the final discussions, a way, which does not correspond to my wish, I mean the parliamentary model, is chosen, then I will not aspire to become Prime Minister. Moreover, I am confident that one man should not aspire to lead Armenia more than two times in his life.”
