YEREVAN, MARCH 13, ARMENPRESS: The pension reforms are of great importance for the Armenia’s future and the development. The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Artem Asatryan stated about it after the session of the Government on March 13. “The payments of the mandatory accumulative pension system are being made and we have employers, who are still in the waiting mode, connected with the final decision of the Constitutional Court”, - said the Minister, Armenpress reports.

674 million drams have been transferred from the state budget of Armenia to the account of the mandatory accumulative pension system in January 2014, though it was expected that the average monthly sum will be 1,7 billion drams. “Now it is useless to give evaluations. Conclusions will be made based on which it will be possible to make more definite evaluations. 1,7 billion drams were just a forecast, a planning. I think that the process is quite active. About 10,000 people have already chosen their mandatory pension fund managers”, - said Artem Asatryan.

In the Republic of Armenia the mandatory accumulative pension system was put into force since January 1 2014.
