Armenia’s President and Chairman of “Gazprom” discuss issues on gas tariff and pricing

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 26, ARMENPRESS. Today, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received the Chairman of “Gazprom” company Alexey Miller.

The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the President’s Office of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that at the course of the meeting the interlocutors discussed issues related to the current level and development prospects of the Armenian-Russian energy cooperation.

The President of the Republic of Armenia and the Chairman of “Gazprom” company reacted on the cooperation in the area of gas as well summarizing the results for the work activity of “ArmRusGazprom” joint venture in recent years. They also spoke about prospective programs of “Gazprom Armenia” company.

Recording that they have managed to significantly increase the rate of gasification, the volume of gas consumption and reliability of gas supply in Armenia since 2002, the sides discussed issues related to further joint work activities after the acquisition of 20 % share of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in “ArmRusGazprom” company by “Gazprom”.
