GYUMRI, JANUARY 15, ARMENPRESS: The Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan paid a working visit to the US State of California. The Mayor left for the United States in the beginning of January by the invitation of the Armenian community of USA. Notwithstanding the fact that Samvel Balasanyan is on vacation now, the visit can be valued as working. The Spokesperson of the Gyumri Mayor Zohrap Yeganyan told about it to Armenpress.
The Gyumri Mayor has already managed to meet with the Mayors of Glendale and Fresno. “During the visit different official meetings were intended to be held with the mayors of the Armenian-inhabited cities, community structures, as well as the representatives of the Armenian community. The main aim of the visit is to present the current situation in Gyumri, make cooperation proposals and hold discussions on potential investments”, - said the Spokesperson of the Gyumri Mayor, stating that the final results of the visit will be presented upon the return of Samvel Balasanyan. The Mayor will come back to Gyumri within the coming days.
Gyumri is the sister city with Alexandria of the US State of Virginia. Gyumri cooperates also with 12 cities of different countries.
