Armenian citizens to receive solely new passports from January 1

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. The citizens of the Republic of Armenia will not receive old passports starting from January 1 of the coming year. The Head of the Passport and Visa Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, Police Colonel Norayr Muradkhanyan stated this at the course of the press conference held on December 19. Among other things the Head of the Passport and Visa Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, Police Colonel Norayr Muradkhanyan underscored that after the expiry date of the current passports two new documents will come to substitute them – identity card and travel document, which represents a biometric passport.
