The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin highly appreciates the reasonable standpoint of Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the settlement of the Karabakh conflict exclusively within the framework of negotiations. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, who has paid a state visit to our country, stated this at the course of the joint press conference with the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. Among other things Vladimir Putin noted that he discussed the Karabakh issue with Ilham Aliyev during his recent visit to Baku. In addition the President of the Russian Federation emphasized that he is frequently asked what Russia will do in case of war. “There is an impression that we are getting ready for war, while we should get ready for peace, as nobody wants a bloodshed in the region,” Vladimir Putin underscored.
