Continuation of negotiating process as a means of keeping cease-fire: Politician

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS: The meeting between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan held in Vienna today was a positive step, as after two-year break the negotiating process recommenced by the level of the Presidents. But the negotiations are ongoing on the principle “for the sake of negotiations”; the approaches of the sides are completely contradictory: utmost that the conflicting sides and the co-chairs can achieve is trying to continue the negotiating process, as a single means, which will contribute to keeping a fragile cease-fire. Vice- director of “Caucasus Institute”, politician Sergey Minasyan expressed such a viewpoint in a conversation with “Armenpress”. Sergey Minasyan added that he does not predict any other solutions on the settlement of the issue in the near future.
