The situation of Middle East is of priority in the agenda of the Turkish diplomacy now, which impels the preparations of Turkey to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide to the 2nd plan. Armenpress reports that the Director of Institute of Eastern SciencesRuben Safrastyan at the course of the press conference convoked on October 31,pointed out that a situation has been created at present when it becomes impossible to say what steps Turkey will take ahead the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. “Turkey does not display activeness in this sphere yet, the commission created more than 10 years ago continues its activities, which is led by the Prime Minister,” Safrastyan stated. According to him the goal of the commission composed of representatives of state departments, specialists from abroad, lawyers and historians is to prepare suggestions ahead the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
