Ilham Aliyev's reelection will maintain Azerbaijan's predictability

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 7, ARMENPRESS. In case of Ilham Aliyev's reelection on the post of the president, Azerbaijan will continue its bellicose rhetoric and steps aimed at destabilizing the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Political scientist and expert of the international relations Menua Soghomonyan stated this. According to him the main issue that must arise regarding the possible impact of Ilham Aliyev's reelection on the de facto non-existent Armenian-Azerbaijani relations is whether Aliyev will continue the policy he adopted or not.

As reports "Armenpress" among other things political scientist and expert on the international relations Menua Soghomonyan underscored: "One should not expect changes in the foreign policy of Azerbaijan. In a country, which does not have deep democratic traditions, changes in foreign policy are always conditioned with changes of the leaders."
