YEREVAN, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS: Ruben Margaryan, the lawyer of Hrachya Harutyunyan, met with the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia Karen Andreasyan on July 29 in Yerevan. As Armenpress was reported by the Staff of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, on the occasion of the keeping conditions of the accused and bringing him to the court in a woman’s bathrobe, Ruben Margaryan said in particular: “Recently, on July 23, I have started the case and on July 24 I got a permission to visit Hrachya Harutyunyan at the Matrosskaya Tishina isolator. On July 25 I went to see the accused personally at the isolator.

The keeping conditions of Hrachya Harutyunyan are satisfactory enough; he went out of the shock state but is still under the control of the doctors and gets the necessary medical treatment.

Concerning the circumstance of bringing Hrachya Harutyunyan to the court in a woman’s bathrobe, which raised everybody’s resentment, I am certain that the corresponding bodies will give their evaluations on the fact and such violation of the human rights will not be left without consequences. The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation has already sent a corresponding statement and I, on my behalf, will say that I will not ignore this issue. Moreover, I am going to lead the case to its logical end”.
